Dozens of women in North East Lincolnshire have expressed an interest in the first positive action taster session which takes place at Peaks Lane Fire Station, Grimsby on Tuesday 9 August.

Staff will be on hand to welcome those from under-represented groups, namely women and those from BME backgrounds, and will give opportunities to talk about the recruitment process, the changing face of the fire service and get their hands on some of the equipment involved in the role.

The session runs from 2.00pm until 8.00pm and those interested in learning more about the Fire Service and its forthcoming full-time recruitment can DROP IN anytime during the afternoon or evening.

There will be no assessments or scoring - simply a drop in session without any formalities to see whether a career in the Fire Service is something which the attendees want to pursue. The online application window opens at noon on 1 September 2016.
