Council Tax precept 2017-18
Members of the public are being invited to have their say on what the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) council tax precept should be for 2017-18. The aim of the consultation is to gain an understanding as to the public’s preferred level of the precept; 1.9% or no increase.
As with most public sector organisations, HFRS is facing significant financial challenges over the next few years and is committed in working hard to ensure that it can continue to deliver a high level of service at a lower cost.
This table below indicates the current 2016-17 council tax bands and what a 1.9% increase would mean for the 2017-18 council tax.
