What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a way for websites to easily deliver content to readers without the need to visit the site.
If you have any RSS feed reading software then you can choose to subsribe to recieve a feed from a site. Once you have enabled that feed you can see a list of content items from that site. For example the BBC website has an RSS feed which shows all the latest headlines. If you see a headline which interests you then you can choose to go directly to the related news article.

Our website currently offers 2 RSS Feeds. One contains the news headlines from our front page and the other contains the list of latest incidents.

Modern internet browsers such as Firefox and Opera have built in feed reader software which will offer you the option automatically when you visit a site with RSS.
