Equality and Inclusion Priorities 2016 - 2020
We consulted on our draft Equality and Inclusion priorities for an eight week period during the summer of 2016. We engaged with stakeholders throughout the consultation on any concerns across the nine protected characteristics within the Equality Act 2010 to identify and understand opinions around the draft priorities.
Feedback from the consultation has assisted in the strengthening our Equality and Inclusion Priorities 2016 – 2020:
Priority 1 Leading by example on equality
Priority 2 Increasing diversity throughout our workforce
Priority 3 Ensure a safe and fair workplace for all staff
Priority 4 Continue to improve our knowledge of our diverse communities and how we engage with them
Priority 5 Identifying the fire and other emergency risks linked to multiple disadvantage and discrimination
